The Music
I tend to lean toward the classics and playing my own originals. I typically play around 50+ songs for a live event, so there is always something in there for everyone.
  • I take requests from my songlist. I typically have a planned set list, but certainly will play them in any order.
  • I am willing to learn special requests for your event if you desire.
I think the songs I play are more for a romantic setting or relaxing atmosphere. Think piano bar, dinner music, happy hour, or private party; not heavy drinking, loud, dance/party band...however, I have played those too. I play more laid-back music, because I like to relax and enjoy the music I am playing. I want people to be able to still talk (and hear) each other while I am entertaining. You probably won't not need to towel off sweat from the dance floor while listening to me.

The Performance
My music performance is perhaps slightly different than the typical band. I typically play solo, but use some excellent processing gear to enhance my acoustic guitar and vocal sounds. One of the center pieces is a Digitech vocal harmonizer. I receive many compliments on how amazing it sounds and how much it adds to the overall song performance. At this time, I do not use pre-recorded tracks (aka - backing tracks), nor any other virtual instrumentation (drum machines, etc.). I know other artist who do, and they sound great doing so. I personally tend to like the flexibility I get from not playing with backing tracks or virtual instruments, but who knows what I might toy with in the future. One thing is for sure, the virtual drummer and bass guitar player never get tired and they are always on time... :)

The Equipment
I have all my own professional audio gear. 4000 Watt QSC PA System, LED Lights, etc. All of my speakers are powered, so all I need is one 15 amp circuit. The entire LED light setup only draws 60 watts of electricity. I mention that, because a lot of places worry that a light show and power amps can blow circuit breakers. That is not going to happen with my setup. I also don't use any fogging or haze equipment, even though they make the lights look better :). I have some pictures of various setups I use in my photo album.
